9/17 今朝の学習:Python Sequences
Today, we are going to learn about the different Python data structures.

They can be divided into two categories based on the ordering of items:
Sequences and Collections.
Elements in sequences come out in the same order as it is inserted,
however ordering in collections is not preserved.
In this article, we will focus only on sequences. So, let’s get started.

In Python programming, sequences are a generic term for an ordered set
which means that the order in which we input the items will be the same when we access them.

Python supports six different types of sequences.
These are strings, lists, tuples, byte sequences, byte arrays, and range objects.

Why Do We Fall in Love with Someone?

from here

By The Editors
Updated on April 20, 2021
Here’s a question: Why do we feel an overwhelming emotion that makes us act like a complete fool?

People fall in love because they felt a connection or some sort of similarity; while some might say they felt somewhat comfortable being with a specific person.

While falling and being in love with someone makes us feel warm and fuzzy, it also has its downsides. If so, why do people still fall in love?

Modal verbs and its types

from here

Modal verbs or modal auxiliary verbs are a type of verbs that indicates modality,
i.e., likelihood, permission, ability and obligation.
Some of the common modal verbs are can, could, may, might and must. Let us understand them briefly.

Remember as a kid you asked your parents before going out to play,
“Can I go out to play?” Now, at your work place when you want to leave early, you have to ask for permission,
“Could I go home early today?”

What Your Dog is Trying to Tell You

Words may be important for humans to communicate, but dogs convey emotions through body language and sounds.
While your dog may seem to understand your words, especially if you've put in the effort to train them on simple commands such as sit, heel, and stay, you also need to work to understand and translate canine body language.

Canine:
relating to or resembling a dog or dogs.

heel:
the back part of the human foot below the ankle.
a command to a dog to walk close behind its owner.

2/7 “Self Help” by Samuel Smiles

Today, I studied the beginning of "Self-Help" written
by an Englishman named Samuel Smiles,
which was loved during the Meiji Restoration. In Japan,
 it is translated as "自助論".

"Heaven helps those who help themselves.
The spirit of self-help is the foundation for human beings to achieve true growth.
If the spirit of self-help is rooted in the lives of many people,
it is a vibrant and strong nation.
  External assistance weakens human beings.
It is the spirit of trying to help oneself that encourages
and encourages human beings forever. "

「天は自ら助くる者を助く。自助
の精神は、人間が真の成長を遂げるための 礎いしずえ
である。自助の精神が多くの人々の生活に根
づくなら、それは活力にあふれた強い国家を築く原動力ともなるだろう。外部からの援助
は人間を弱くする。自分で自分を助けようとする精神こそ、その人間をいつまでも励まし
元気づける」。
